First Time Metal Detecting

Today was my first try at metal detecting. I had a lot of fun. I found a few coins and some other odds and ends.

Gun, I'm pretty sure it's a toy.

I think it is some kind of BB gun or other toy gun. The end of the barrel looks very odd.

I found it right off a trail in the woods behind my house. I think someone owned the woods before they made the subdivision right next to it.

Those are some great finds on your first day out. I have been doing this for about 6 weeks now and I haven't found anything older than 1968.

Very cool. I have only been to one game, but it was a good one 2010 Homecoming. I live in Jeff Co, south of STL.

WELCOME TO THE INSANITY! Some days I question mine, other days it is a silly question.

Looks like what was once a Red Ryder BB gun. Lots of history in Missouri, find the old maps, knock on doors and dig the farm fields.

It is a Daisy BB gun. I had one when I was a kid. Circa 1983. Took mine apart so many times I would recognize it anywhere. Awesome finds.
