Went to my creek in the woods today to get some fossils with my family and brought my new gold pans with. It was getting ready to rain, so I just classified some dirt and brought about 4 gallons home to pan. I found flour gold in the first pan, and the second pan! Nothing big, but it's here and I found it on my first try. I have read alot of posts and I did my homework before leaving, and it paid off. I don't think there are any nuggets or big flakes, but the excitement is there! I still have to pan out the other 3.5 gallons. I found alot more black sand than I thought I would. I guess you never know! BTW...we found alot of nice fossils.
