Metal Detecting
Spent a couple hours this morning at a local school playground trying to learn the used detector I just bought. I found 4 quarters, 10 pennies (4 of them copper) a dime and a nickel and a bunch of old nails. I thought I had iron notched out.

Still not sure of how set my detector for best sensitivity but I thought I did pretty good for a rookie.

Congrats, and welcome to a great hobby! There are many Fisher CZ/7a users on the forum, so I'm sure they can provide you tips. I have a CZ-20 but still getting used to it myself. However, the more you use it the more you'll become more familiar with it.

If you have the coinage, I recommend you get a pin pointer. I have the Garrett Pro Pointer and love it. Pin Pointers save you SO much time in finding objects once you start digging. I won't go out without one.
