Hello Everyone,

Been viewing this website for almost a year and finally decided to buy a detector. Been out about 12 times now, so I'm still an amateur.

I finally got permission to metal detect on about 6 farms here in Western Maryland. I went out this past Saturday at a small farm for about 2 hours and got lucky.

Found:
1846 Large Cent
1907 Half Dollar
1901o Dollar

I hope this is just the beginning!!!!

I really enjoy reading everyone's post here. I hope someday soon I can find some gold.

GOOD LUCK ON YOUR NEXT HUNT!!!

Man, that little 250 is doing it!!

Great finds. Took me years to find something like those. Haven't found the silver dollar yet.

Good stuff and keep at it.

Welcome from the UK.

From what I have learnt here about US detecting, you seemed to have got off to a golden start. Sounds like you have virgin ground?

I think on my 12th time out I was excited because I finally hit more than a couple clad quarters in the same day!

Unbelievable coins man! That spot has to have more.

With those finds I think you've moved past amateur ranking and can be considered a 'pro'! Nice stuff.
