Hello everyone hope your out swinging.
Hats off to iron patch ( your kind of my idol )
Read your post today. Blown away as usual !!
Onto my finds. Today I found my first two piece buckle I think.
Both pieces in the same hole. It's a buckle but I have no idea of era or if it is military
I posted it in what's it but wanted to post here too. Plus an early flat button not far away
Yesterday I dug a kg3 and a luxumburge 10 ces coin.
Any idea on buckle please let me know.
Thanks hh gl eastcoast image.jpegimage.jpegimage.jpegimage.jpegimage.jpeg

Thats a really cool find.
Don't believe its military.
But still a great find, would like to add to my collection.

It sorts looks like a Miners buckle with him pushing the dynamic box???

I actually found it by an old mill found a cool old place very large maybe 1000 acres of woods lakes and a stream.
Right up the hill from me I never knew it was there !!

Very cool buckle! Don't know anything about it but maybe someone will enlighten us. Sounds like a good spot.

Nice buckle find! Congrats!

Wow, I can't believe that this may be the answer to your buckle ID, but it sure looks a lot like a Cricket player preparing to swing his bat in front of the "stumps." Maybe our brothers and sisters from across the pond can confirm? Awesome find ECH21! Sub 8-)

I think Sub is right on this one. It's a two piece copper (probably) cricket buckle depicting a batsman and a wicket (stump) behind him.

Found another forum and if you scroll down towards the bottom of the thread to this link you will see several group shots of similar cricket buckles. Didnt see your exact buckle but many similarly depicted and constructed.

Hope this helps.

Nice diggs brother! Let's see what tomorrow brings :)

Pardon me...Fancy a game of Cricket Mr. Charlie?! The buckle is a nice snag and looks like it dates to what we were talking.

I don't know, so I am going to go with everyone else's Cricket idea. Sure is a nice buckle.

Congratz on a great find! I have no idea what it is though, sorry.

Cricket buckles were a very popular theme during the Victorian period...Nice find.
