So I had three boxes this weekend. Friday evening I had a wedding so was only able to open half a box by the time I got home but in the 4th or 5th roll I got my first walker a 1942!

Sorry about the quality of the pic but I did order a new camera which I should have soon.

I was excited about the remainder of the boxes on Saturday morning and the rest of the first box had 1 40% 1969. 2nd box had a 1964 and the third box was a skunk so not what I was hoping for but still happy with the first :)

Good luck,

Jeff

All you guys waiting on "your first" get a metal detector and start digging! This is what I dug up on Saturday morning at a park from the 40s. :)

Sweet finds Seener! Always wanted to get a MD.

Start out with a mid grade machine which you can score at a good price from a pawn shop. Then hit up all your families homes that date before the 60s. A good house can produce up to a dozen silvers, not to mention some bling on occasion.

Hi Coinfetcher, yes there is reeding and it really is in nice shape (the pic doesn't do it justice.) the only issues are a few black "stains" on both sides but otherwise very good detail.

Good luck,

Jeff

CRH got me into metal detecting. There are some decent detectors for under $200 and it's not a bad way to go if you have the time and the locations to hunt. The silver is much harder to find detecting though, but when you do find it, its a huge thrill.

Congrats on the Lady, now you just need the haircut -- I'm still looking for it after 1 year of CRH.
