ladyr5:

I have heard of fishermen finding a little gold when they
clean the fish. Also many years back I read of an underwater
insect that made small cone shaped cacoons out of gravel.
Sure enough I located some in New Mexico trout streams
with tiny gravel on the outside but no au flakes so far. The
creatures were called 'gold bugs' by the natives.

All the best,

the real name is caddis, caddisfly larvae make a case out of fine river gravel and sand, they can be found clinging underneath river rocks. Trout gold more likely!Yes I flyfish.
