Caught this bad boy in 1900 feet of water on the bottom in the Florida straights/gulf stream. Its called a pomfrette !! They are a pretty rare Deepwater delicacy !! Not many people fish on the bottom out this deep so its rarely seen except by us guys who drop during the day for swordfish!! Missed my swordfish today, but bagged another rare beast !! Wooo hooo !!

Congrats Bart, that had to be quite a fight reeling it in from that depth!

Mahi and grouper...had to release that grouper its out of season. Also released a sailfish !!

Woooo hooo !! Fishing is red hot right now...waiting for more pics !! Had a sailfish stretch us out and get away. Pulled all the line off to the knot on the spool. Got the boat turned around and went after him....he was jumping like crazy about a 1/4 mile away when he spit the hook out !!
