Any difference in the mold seams on the two examples in the S C Dispensary?

Found in the Carolinas in the crawl space under a very old home. Anchor flask, and I think they date to around 1860-1870....can't remember for sure the date range....ill have to look it up again. I did leave 3 other not as nice ones on the front porch for the owner !!

I have some common ones, I have others that look like flasks, but I think they're medicines DSCF0007 (2).JPG

The quarter is for sizing.
Next time I'm going up to the shop I will try some better pics.

The side-strap example are really unique to me as we never came across this type of bottle ever, not even a shard. Thanks for the post up.

That limestone bottom is very hard on bottles. I think I found one intact Romeo soda near the boat ramp in Dunnellon. Fossils, yes. Artifacts, yes. Bottles, no. The flask is a good recovery.

I found my oldest bottle in that river. A Guinness Beer from about 1830s in green glass. Unfortunately a squirrel got behind it on the shelf it was displayed on out in the barn and kindly pushed it off to it's demise...

Thanks village nut for the post up. Yes on the liking of the applied lip finishing also (geez I have to dig deep on the right phrases now it seems) it's what we called them 45-50 yrs ago.
