I've been working an old farm house from the early 1800's and getting very discouraged. They either never dropped anything or picked it up immediately. Anyway, i did find these two items and a bunch of worthless coins and nails. I looked this button up and looks to be 1820-1830's? Is that correct? Also, that other thing, is it a hood ornament or a sink handle or something else? I figured if anyone will know, it's you people. Thank you. The button says E PLURIBUS UNUM aswell as some other letters in the middle i just can't make out.
