Found these three buttons at an old cabin, does anyone have any info on age? Spent about 2 hours yesterday and found the "Trieble Gilt colour" button, and found the other 2 within 5 minutes today. All about 4 feet apart. The darkest one says "Extra Fine Quality" and has a small eagle at the top of the photo. Thanks

Nice finds. They all date from the early to mid 1800s and are frequently dug east of the Mississippi R. Many were imported from England where they made 'em by the millions. Extra Find Quality, Standard Gilt, Treble Gilt, Rich Orange Colour etc. are typical generic back marks.

Thanks to all for the warm welcome. Been many years since I first started detecting, with a long time of inactivity, but think that now I can focus better and with new equipment maybe actually find some real treasures ( well, treasures to me) Will post more as I find it, thanks again

Welcome, the earlier assessments of age are correct. I like digging the oldies.
