I have often wodered what became of Floater, one of our most active members back in 2007. He was in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. last I heard. He said he had some storm damage and then just disappeared. He was a relly great guy and was well liked by all. I sent him several emails but got no response even though the computer showed they went through. Did anyone in the area know him? The forum didn't even have his real name unless it was hidden. He is still shown to be a member and I would like to get in touch with him if possible or just find out if he has passed on or something. Monty

Monty I hope you can find him. I remember him too. And he was a good guy.

This post makes me wonder what happened to BDoo? Or Boobydoo. I miss him too. He using that real old garrett and making some incredible finds.

Anyways, good luck

Really odd how he just fell off the face of the earth. He was so much fun and helped so many people get started on the right path to detecting. I hope he is well and maybe just found another interest? So, if anyone lives in the Ft. Lauderdale area who knows him, please tell him to drop by and say hi to us. Thanks. Monty

I called and talked to him on the phone back then. He gave no indication that anything was up to explain why he is gone. I'm sure some old names still lurk in the shadows. ;D

I live in Ft. Lauderdale area. When I first joined he invited me to detect with him and gave me his phone number. He was hunting high end constuction sites where he worked. I didnt even own a working metal detector at the time, and had health problems, so I didnt go. I dont know if I can find the number or if he will even remember me.
