Have any of you detected flood tide delta's? I detected a large one left behind by this past weekend's nor'easter and did very well. I prefer to not say or show what I found because I want to keep them!

For those who do not know what a flood tide delta is it's basically where a strong incoming current caused by a storm tide thru an inlet dumps debris on the bay side.

You need a boat or kayak or some way to get to it very close to a low tide. Some places they can be seen above water at low tide. They look like and are piles of mostly clam shells.

Interesting. I know some people who have searched them and not found much, but I suppose a strong enough tide could make it work.
