Hello, I have a Fluxgate Magnetometer FGM-3D2 Walker Scientific, INC. up for auction now on you know where.. item #170557093615
Anyone have any input on its possible metal detecting applications and if it’s feasible to do so?

You own this thing and don't know? What did you use it for? From what little I know about them, they aren't real good coin shooters. ;D

Treasure hunter yes!
Sounds like this would be good to find shipwrecks & or large iron buried objects... deep also sounds like it will detect!
Lol id love to take this out into the woods and see what happens.

This came on a pallet of electronics I made a deal on earlier this spring.

If I am not mistaken, these are also used by LEO's to help find buried bodies. The machine is good at finding voids in the underground.

Edit: On second thought, that may be a "ground penetrating radar" I'm thinking about for finding voids??
