Picked this up at at estate auction last week. It has been sporterized but it is still a great gun! Just the sights they put on it are worth about as much as I paid!

More fun than a 7.62x54R? The Mosin Nagant is a cannon! But then this is 8×57mm (?) so I can understand that it might be!

Great find!

More fun than a 7.62x54R? The Mosin Nagant is a cannon! But then this is 8×57mm (?) so I can understand that it might be!

It feels about the same power wise to shoot as a mosin nagant but it has better sights and a better bolt. I don't have to hit this bolt to get it to cycle.
