The pictures were taken by a professional photographer from the local newspaper....unfortunately my buddy passed away about 2 years ago.

At least I have copies of these pictures as souvenirs.

I don't think Ziggy was afraid of much after all he owned several bars over the years and probably felt much safer with wildlife than some of his customers. ....lol.

Interesting experience. There must have been quite a bit of snow fall to keep the owls from finding their prey. It is also amazing how lightweight for their size.

There's actually a bit more to the story back in 1970's the hydro company built a huge dam way up north and flooded a large part of their hunting territory which probably explains why they migrated south in search of food.
