So I purchased a lot of 12 silver coins on ebay on a hunch that one was mislabeled. I payed 45$ shipping included. Gotta love when hunches work out. I found this cute little 1945 micro-s merc mislabeled as a 1943-s. Not too sure on a value, but I figure $20-$70. almost pays for the rest of the coins I'm thinking. I also found this weird quarter with what looks like it got stamped on another quarter. Any ideas on value? I think it was a 1982 if I can find where I put it. 20170206_204224_resized.jpg20170206_203317_resized.jpg20170206_203142_resized.jpg20170201_181929_resized.jpg

Welcome to tnet good job!!!! That's what us Treasure hunters do look for good finds take some risks here and there I also buy silver I buy the silver Eagles the $100 ones that are moy signed first strike ect and hope they will increase in value. Glad you found a good deal and some nice finds that payed off!!!Tommy

Nice! Congrats on the good find. :) I think the quarter is just damaged from some sort of after-die machinery, probably not mint related. That's my guess.

Cheers,

Skippy

So what would press those two quarters together like that? I see the t and a few other letters from another quarter imprinted in reverse.

thanks everyone, been going nuts with the frozen ground around here. Spending money on silver just to keep sane haha. searching lots of coin rolls too.

Those are nice to have. The 1945 micro s dime is listed at $3.25 in GOOD condition, and $13.00 in Extra Fine. 41,920,000 were minted, that # would include both the 1945 S & the 1945 micro S. I like what you have.

Yeah I started looking into it and $ found anywhere from 3 or 4 $ to like 2 thousand(high ms grades). The few certified graded I found that went in auction this year (2017) that were au grade went for 40 to 120.
So Im betting mines a 10 to 15 $ coin without any type of certified grade. But I'm still pretty bad at this grading game, so it probably is only a 5 dollar coin hahahaha.
