I went for a short hunt late this morning. The area I searched yesterday produced some interesting junque from what I normally find around these fields. I found out it was the fill dirt they brought in to make the playing area, that explained the finds. Today I noticed that I was in totally different fill then yesterday. This was more of a gravel dirt mix, and there was very little of the junque like I found before. The finds still were not as good as I had expected, but I didn't come home empty handed. Going to take a bunch of venison over to the old owners of the ranch that this used to be and have a BBQ this afternoon.

I found an "American National Insurance" thimble too.

Mine was also kinda crushed.

Keep plowing forward. The gold and silver is waiting! :D

How I miss those Texas grassless fields.
Not really, it's kinda nice to kneel down on the grass to dig.
You are doing a thorough job.
Nice to see an addict enjoying his addiction!
I, too, cannot stop.
