Questions for all EXCALIBUR owner :

The regular battery pack, provided with Excalibur is 8 batteries x 1.5 (600 mA)
witch can be charged until 14/14.3v... I succeed to reach 14.26v

When my battery reach 12.4v, it's over... ::)

The original pack last from 4 hours to 5 hours. >:(

When you buy a MINELAB EXCALIBUR WATER-RESISTANT BATTERY PACK, inside you can
put 8 batteries. I put rechargeable AA size batteries and I succeed to recharge it up to 11.95v.

I just check and it's still working, at 11.3v.

About the water-resistant, I do not know yet how long they last ...

QUESTIONS: Why the original pack can only be used from 14.3v to 12.4v
and with the water-resistant pack, with 8 rechargeable AA batteries,
start from 12v to .... ?

(Tell me how long last your pack !!. )

I can't help you much with the rechargable battery pack with the 8 batteries as I only use the Sun Ray Super NIMH Pak which lasts me up to near 60 hours and it is about five years old.

I've got 2 rechargeable pods and they last about 8hrs each before they start going nuts. When I get home I turn the machine on until the battery is completely drained. I then charge it with the Minelab charger for 12-14hrs.
