So why do they need redundant pieces, hundreds, thousands, millions of them? :thumbsup:

Are any pieces from shipwrecks?

Thanks! That's not a museum I know well- visited once in the dying years of the last century! Clearly time to make another visit. Have you been to the Army Museum in its new quarters in Toledo?

That's certainly some Christmas present! Can I see the word Antwerpen? 1657? That's unusual, since Mechlin is the most important old gun foundry in modern day Belgium. I wonder how they got that dragon on? I'd guess that is one of those baroque cannons not really intended for serious use, but an impressive casting!
