Foriegn Coins

Reading another post that showed a Russian coin, I had an interesting though. Perhaps it has been posted before but lets see how many people will respond. I will start with one of my recent finds.

I have a couple others that I didn't photograph. Will post those later.

Lets see some others post some of the foriegn coins you have found. The above was found on a Tot Lot in a public park in a suburb near Chicago.

Cool coin 8) All iv found is a few canadian cents, one was from the 40's though

i wish i could post pics but i dont have a camera or a scanner but i can at least tell you. i have found
1 british pound 1984
1 spanish peseta 1953
1 norwiegan 10 ore coin 1957
and 1 oriental coin. i am not sure of the country as it has no writing on it that i can recognise. it has a round hole in the middle and has rice stalks on the front and some sort of writing on the back (maybe tibetan ?)
all found in the woodchips.

Here's a 1717 Bavarian silver 10 Kreuzer coin I found in a field, about the size of a US Qtr.? The king is Maximillian Emanuel, he was a hero to his people as he had won a few important wars.? That explains the hole in it, probably worn by someone in the kings honor.? HH, Mike

Reverse, light made in look brownish, date at the bottom near the 7 and 5 oclock position, denomination (10) of the coin is where the hole is

This is a cool thread.To date this year I have found all modern coins. Here it goes.1-1994, 5 peso(mexico),1-2000,10 koneek(russian),1-1986 1cent (canadian),and some kind of asian coin.Anyone know what the asian coin is? Thanx for a cool thread.

I seem to find plenty of foreign coins at schools. I guess kids bring them in to show their friends...
