Hunted at a park today, sad sad sad :'( a few pennies and dimes.
Went and had lunch and the fortune cookie said "opportunity knocks daily at your door...Answer It."
Got home from lunch and in the front yard my brother saw 3 quarters lying on the ground. Had to get the detector out(not allowed to hunt the front yard per hubby but he wasn't home.) Well grand total before dark was 7 quarters, 2 dimes, 5 pennies, and my first ring! Its not real but I am still excited, I always dig pull tabs and nickles with the ace in hopes of a ring and the other day I dug the pull tab below...dang I was so close that day. Now you can bet before hubby gets home tomorrow I will finish digging oops I mean detecting the front yard. ;D

Very cool. Congrats on your first ring.
That 2nd one is actually what we use here in NC as an engagement ring. ::)

Way to go on finding two rings! That thin aluminium one looks like the wedding ring I gave my 4th wife.

Congrats on the ring. I cant wait till I find my first one. Ive been digging lots of pull tabs too. Today I pulled a weed in my front yard and there was even a pull tab wrapped up in the roots.

Your hubby should be the one digging up the coins, while you are the one complaining about the grass. LMFAO!

thanks Kirk, and I am so happy that hubby mowed the grass the other day, so the targets are easy to find.

I have a blast digging in the dirt. I remember as a kid I use to love making mud pies, but what was even funnier I fed them to the dogs and they would eat them.

So all you parents out there make sure to encourage your kids to play in the dirt when they are young.

Good diggins! Congrats on your first ring. I love finding rings, even junk ones. I've found 42 rings and only 5 are gold and one is silver (14%). Not a very good average, but I remember every one of them. You can always tell your hubby that it wasn't you that killed the lawn, maybe it was moles.
