Yep- clams or pelecypods. They look recent in age too.
We needed this photo. After Nana posts a weathered fossil mystery that Richard and I are clueless about we needed an easy one to reassure Treasurenet viewers that we know fossils.-ha ha

You're too modest George. I think you pegged a couple of Nana's mystery fossils as cross-sections of gastropods.

looks like a piece of asphalt that has rolled around in the ocean for a while, at least here on the east coast they use seashells for filler in road construction...but I could be wrong
