Any idea on what these could be? Found them in northern Montana in an area that gas lots of ocean type fossils from the glaciers that covered Montana millions of years ago. Like this..
Those my friend are common belemnite guards. They were very common in the Cretaceous and are found all over the world. Especially in the Midwest and New Jersey.

Would have been cool if they were bee stingers or from a mosquitoe. Could you imagine fishing in a pond with baseball sized mosquitoes assaulting you? One poke and it would suck you dry.
