Today I braved the 40 degree rain in SWPA to make a single find. It was found fully exposed at an eroded road cut out for a gas well. There were footprints less than three feet from the point. Thanks to the informative resource provided by Uniface, I will attemp to ID this find.

I think this is a late Archaic Brewerton corner-notched point. The material appears to be Ten Mile chert that is located in the watershed.

Good find Rich, nice looking material too. If it's really thin it's probably a Jacks Reef corner notch. Brewertons are pretty thick little points. Not trying to come off like a know it all, just adding a little experience and help with two points I'm familiar with and find frequently.

I appreciate the responses. The point is almost 5/16" thick. I am not sure if that would be a Brewerton or Jacks Reef. Thanks
