Found a tiny Kiddiegem ring and a chunky men's ring today. I thought I had found my first class ring, but no. I was curious if it might be some sort of military ring.

The writing inside is:

STERLING MADE IN USA
COPR. 1941 UNCAS (The AS is worn away, or was removed when the ring was resized.)
PAT. APL’D FOR MFG. CO

I can't tell what the design on the side is, but it's the same on both sides.

That is definitely a military ring. What branch, not sure. Around where the gemstone was, it looks like the tenants of "states" was there. I am an air force vet, and around my gem on my service ring says United States air force. So it is definitely a service ring.

Great finds........ I bet the big one made a real good signal.....

I’d guess that it is Army. I wonder if the stone is still in the hole that you dug the ring out of?

Thanks guys! Yes, it gave a great signal. I thought it was going to be trash it was so loud. There isn't any writing that I can see around where the stone was, just stars.

I did look through the dirt for the stone but didn't see it. I scooped out some of the dirt and brought it home, but haven't had a chance to go through it yet.

Looks similar to the one I got in Germany in 1966 while stationed in the Army.
