Back in my honey hole today and i found some different bullets. Pistol rounds I believe and one 3 ringer in a new area that I haven't hunted before. Also I tried using all metal mode some. I definitly got more depth but its gonna take some time getting use to. I didnt have time to measure the bullets but if anyone recognizes any of them or has any advice on using the T2 in All Metal i'd really appreciate the info.

You have to learn to use your threshold. It should be set as quiet as you can set it, but still audible over ambient noise. Slight “Positive” signals are also called “whisper” signals. This is a very soft or slight, almost unnoticeable, rise in the threshold signal. It will always be repeatable over the target – not random. If your threshold is set too high, or too low, you can miss them easily. If your threshold is not smooth you can miss these whisper signals easily. There can be a couple of reasons, including EMI, for an unstable threshold. The most common is too much sensitivity or "gain." Sometimes you can max it out, sometimes you can only run it at half. It depends on the soil/clay. If you want to make your machine more sensitive and cut down on interference, make sure you are not wrapping your coil wire close to the coil down on the lower plastic rod. “Negative breaks,” are also referred to as whisper signals. This is when the threshold gets quieter, or goes away completely over the target. Again, negative breaks are always repeatable over a real target – not random. As you remove dirt from over the target and re-sweep with your coil, a true signal becomes a stronger positive signal. Hope this helps!:skullflag:

The small projectiles on the bottom are .177 cal rounds from a CO2 rifle. Looks like one rond BB also. Nice finds.

That's what i thought also. The BB and pellets were at least 9" deep and the T2 was screaming in my ear. It took me forever to locate them with the pinpointer. I had the sens turned up to 90 Disc 0 and running in boost mode.

I had the threshold set at +1. There was just a slight hum. I wasn't sure about ground balancing it in All Metal though. I had already ground balanced in discrimination and it seemed to be doing ok. I did notice the whisper signals you mentioned. I also see that in discrimination, especially with really deep bullets. I'll get a very faint high pitch tone but it's a low jumpy number until i take a little dirt off the surface then it will jump up to the 70s. All Metal seems to be much more sensitive but i am so use to listening for certain tones it will take some time learning what to listen for. Another strange thing is i have dug probably 50- 3 ringers and other bullets from this location but No other relics yet. I think this is partly my fault because i am mostly only digging higher signals, usually above 60-65. But i would assume things like buckles would come up in that range. If i were to dig everything from the 50s and up i'd spend all my time digging junk. I'm still learning how to hunt for ferrous metals which is partly why i thought it might help if i were in All metal mode. The area does have some trash but it's not terrible. The soil ground balances between 64-72. Sand and clay underneath with about 6-8 inches of soil on top. The bullets are always in the sand/clay layer. I am going to go hunt that spot this afternoon and i'll try using all metal again with your suggestions. Thanks.
