Been battling some back problems lately so I took it slow today and went out for a two hour after work hunt and found a really cool keeper! A decent Large Cent. I believe it's 1827 or 1837 it's a little toasty where the date is. I tried different angles with light and magnifying glass can't determine if it's a two or three and can't seem to get a decent zoomed in photo.

The reverse side is in very nice shape, looks like small lettering for United States of America.

Nothing else other than horse tack, key some clad, and junk.

Thanks for looking and HH

Well done Dude,, easy on the back, you have a big trip coming up next month.
I think it is a 27 but I could be wrong.
Congratulations

I also think it is a very solid 2. However, of course I could be wrong also. Nice

Nice coin it is definitely a 2. I could tell better when I enlarge the picture of it on your detector in natural light.

The date looked better after a light brushing in the field, after being in my pocket for about an hour and a half it flaked away. [emoji34] it's frustrating when details are in the dirt, but still I'm happy with the find. Thanks for reply

Thanks for reply LD, The chiropractor said it's good to get out and walk but as far as digging and I should use a hand digger while kneeling instead of my 31" long Lesche standing, and take it slow...... Very frustrating, thanks for asking :-)

I hope your back feels better, have you had your eyes checked lately? Seems like in person it should be fairly easy to see the 2 that looks evident in the natural light pic. Hot peroxide should clear things up.
Nice find, I love it when they come out not looking like melba toast!

Great looking LC!! I wasn't sure if I'd get out yesterday bc my back was acting up. In my case the more I moved around the better it got.
Hope your back feels better today!!

Yes, I guess your right, I do have bad eyesight, it is pretty obvious in that photo on the DEUS remote. 1827.

I feel your pain literally on the back issue. I have been dealing with this problem for more than 20 years. Exercise is definitely good for it. I think your doctor is right about not using the short handled shovel that would destroy my back in about a half an hour. I kneel down and dig all of my holes with a regular digger. I do use a walking stick however to help me get back up it also comes in handy for moving brush around and knocking ticks off of branches that are in my way. Also for some reason going down onto only one knee to dig tears my back up something fierce so I get all the way down on both knees to dig. If the recovery is taking too long and it starts to strain my back I will just sit down next to the hole. Congratulations on that large cent they don't show up every day
