I found this today and I think it is a transit token.
It was found in the Observatory Park neighbourhood of Denver in the grassy area between the sidewalk and the road at about 2" deep.
As far as I can tell it says on it
(ST JOSEPH RYL HT&PP CO FULL FARE ) on the face side and nothing on the reverse.
Any more info on this would be appreciated
How old is it ?
Is it worth anything etc.?

Thanks
Conlaodh

First, let me clarify something; I like tokens! :)

I'm yet to find one with a triangle center; and I have found plenty of tokens!
Nice! Don't clean it. Don't, don't, don't; sell it for 99 cents.

According to the Atwood-Coffee Catalogue of United States and Canadian Transportation Tokens, there are at least 13 varieties of this triangular-cutout token from St. Joseph, MO. The earliest was issued in 1921, and the latest in 1947.
