Cant get much without something to show size of it but with it having a full casing like that I feel comfortable saying its not very old,meaning a 100 years or less. Need more details to give a better response

Agreed it looks like a modern caliber bullet to me 35 Remmington maybe hard to tell from the picture.

Funny that the 35 rem was mentioned, I own a marlin lever action 35 Remington and upon looking at the cartridge its looks like it..rounded bullet tip(since they sit nose to tail in tube magazine) but as I said before without something to compare size cant be 100% but id say a lever action rifle cartridge
