I found a clipped edge Civil War buckle. I did not know what it was until I took it to a reputable Civil War expert. He said the brass buckle was worn across the chest with the Company insignia attached to the center. I also found a silver quarter (1941), a Mercury dime (1943), a pocket watch, and several Wheat pennies.

Cool watch...could it be silver? It's probably worth more as an antique. Nice.

Neat finds, really like the Watch. If I were you, I'd go back and see if I could find the rest of the CW buckle.

That's some SUPER finds Dman. The cross belt buckle could be as old as 1832 and many saw CW usage. Do you find many CW relics in your area?

Yes, I hunt several Confederate camps in my area.
