Found G-Grandmother's Pocketwatch 105 Years Later

Hi Everyone,

Great digs today. Dug up a pocketwatch (#3 for the year).
It was REALLY crusty.
Using my "go to formula" for removing severe crud and by taking it slooow,
I discovered it was engraved - Jennie Roll 1906 - this pocketwatch belonged to my Great Grandmother.

Happy Hunting!

I think Jennie would be very happy to know that her great grandson found her long missing watch, and that something cherished by her would now be cherished by you.

I live far away from my family's roots, and think you are very lucky to have that kind of family history around you every day.

Great save!

Great Great Find! That reminds me of something I was thinking of doing and that is to go to where my Mom and Dad were born and raised and search those older home sites. That would be cool. Congrats on a great find. jgas

Just think, you are probably the first person to touch it since she did way back when. Really neat.

Yes, this homestead has been in my family since the day it was built. Technically, everything I've found here are "family finds".
