Hunting in some freshly cut fields at my dads friend house wasn't having much luck and almost passed this one up. Glad I didn't ! We first searched the field with the tall grass with tons of Posion ivy found nothing to write home about. But if anybody can help me out on the crown mark on the inside of the ring I would b greatly appreciated :)

It's a Crown hallmark. It represents that the ring is made of gold. Silver would have a Passant or walking lion. If there is a set of three numbers stamped anywhere that would indicate exact carat.
