Found in bag of Roman coins.

Not Roman from what I can tell.
 

Interesting coin,
The ship on the reverse does look like a Templar ship.

I did do a very fast search on the term "Templar coin". And none of the coins I saw looked like yours

The Westford Knight, the Newport Tower, and Related Sites

The ship looks VERY much like the depicted ships on these carvings.

That's why I wanted to check with this site. Everybody on this site has seen a lot of coins from around the world and I want to thank all who are helping me with my search.

Not roman. I would have to look. I used to study roman coins the past years because i was living in Europe and found a few. I will check tomorrow. Great find!
 

Mirage 83 is right. The M AND the cross with the star and crescent is definitly the symbols of the Byzantine Empire. I am confused because usutaly you have the effigy of the emperor on one side.. I would have to look further..
