Saw it by a bush on the side of the railroad.

After its clean-up. I don't see a mint mark, but 1920 ain't bad. It inspired me to look at the coins that family recently gave us, and I found this one that I didn't know I had.

Great find! My father found a 1946 walker laying on a 1 inch tall pillar of dirt, on the slope of a stream bank. My best eyeballed coins were 2 silver dimes and a buffalo; not as impressive. Seeing a big silver on the surface somewhere would be awesome, congrats on the find and the cool experience.

I'm starting to think I better find a big silver coin on the surface cause I'm sure not finding any in the ground. Very nice find!

Been out four times this year...twice with Spectrum XLT and twice with new AT Pro. Have been skunked so far, but I'm goo a get one. Would be great to find one just sitting there! Congrats!

Thanks! I have no idea how long that coin was sitting there waiting for me to find it. I found it in a pretty desolate area. But in the desert, a number of elements could have caused it to be exposed to the surface. It felt great to find.
