So glad the Canadian coins were only dropped to 80% silver in 1920 from the previous 92.5% sterling silver. That is until 1969 when all silver was gone from the coins. 1968 had some with silver and most with none! :)

I wonder if it was associated with the Vanderbilt estate some how. The family was known to frequent other countries from time to time.... Hmmmm. Just something to think about. You never know. 
