Well, what happened?

Did the police tell you detecting is prohibited on this beach, or what?

Inquiring minds want to know.

pretty funny nutsdad. There's a joker born every minute :) There was a thread once by a guy where the title indicated he'd had a gun pointed at him! As you read the cliff-hanger story , expecting to learn how someone had pointed a gun at him, it's finally revealed he'd dug a toy gun which was "pointed at him" as he took it from the ground, haha

As for toy cars, I just pitch them in the trash as a nuisance. But I knew a retired fellow who got his exercise at one of our local tourist beaches, by doing his morning walks there several times per week with his detector plying the dry sand. And over the years, accumulated perhaps several hundred toys like that. He kept saving them all in a big box, till finally one day he took them all the flea market. Imagine his surprise when they were all easily fetching $1 each by moms with kids in tow. Apparently those match-box cars and-the-like aren't cheap in the toy stores! :)

So then what's the qualification for titling a post, "I got lucky today?"

Nice finds nutsdad, keep digging!
