Updated pix on my Draped Bust Half Cent

I hunted with Vino today in Phila, one of our old haunts we hunted several times before. George set me up with a great program on the Deus and I hit a deep, I believe Draped Bust Half Cent. My other finds were Lincolns, maybe a part of a pocket watch, Ben Franklins toe nail clippers (lol) and one flat button.
George hit a Trime 1861. Amazing we can go in these spots and still find these great finds. Thanks George for another great hunt.
Enjoy the pix

I will be working slowly cleaning the Half Cent over the next couple weeks, see what I can do?20150325_082627.jpg20150325_082308.jpg

Excellent saves!

Since this is a first one for you, I wouldn't try too hard to "clean" it up. Do what you can but stop before it tuns into a pitted copper disk. At
least you can tell what it is now.

WTG!

It's just that I've seen lots of people's "firsts" get a lil too cleaned. Ya know? Better to see what it is then to just know what it is.

Good luck! :)

Trust me I'm not going to get aggressive with it. To start out it is soaking in distilled water for a few days. I can see some delicate spots on her, I'm hoping the reverse might pop. It really looks like it just might be covered in concrete dirt(lol) There is a slim possibility that a date might emerge

If you sift that place, your retirement is waiting under all that iron, good luck next time out

Great finds, those are two coins that are on my wishlist

Nice hunt Treb. Amazing you guys are still eeking out a few finds.

Nice coins! Can't tell for sure but that half cent looks like it might be a Liberty Cap.

Great job on the coins guys. It's hard to tell about that half cent, but it appears to be draped as you suggested. Maybe some careful cleaning will reveal more details. Good luck.

Great hunt Treb! That spot is amazing and keeps producing. George and I hit it and each pulled two coppers as I'm sure he mentioned. I thought it was ka-put but look at the stuff you fellas pulled?! My hat is off.

Congrats!

Ps- I thought one of my finds two weeks ago was a draped bust half too...

I forgot to ask brad, any coin licking take place there?? lol
