I Found my first Silver Coin today a 1941 Silver Mercury Dime. I'm fairly new to Metal Detecting & Coin collecting can someone tell me the Value of this coin and is this considered in pretty good condition?
Excellent way to break into the silver club. Mercury dimes are among my favorites. That dime is extremely fine but it would really need professional grading and be slabbed in order to command a higher price. It would cost you more than the value of that particular coin to have it graded and slabbed.

Congratulations on a really nice find. Put it in a cardboard coin folder and mark it "FIRST" with today's date.
Nice find. Well over average condition. Value is $3-4, if you can find someone willing to pay retail for it. You can buy a mixed BU roll of Mercs for around $6.50 each and XF's for around $2.20 each, depending on spot. Gives you a idea.
Silver melt value is about $1 but most places will price non-key date mercs around $2-3. Yours is in very good condition and if graded would get a decent grading. The pic I posted here says the 1941 in MS (mint state) condition is about $25. So yours is probably at most about $8-10 if I were to guess. Nice find regardless. Keep it and now that you've found one, wait to see how many more you will find!! HH
Congrats! I found my first silver coin about a week and a half ago in my back yard....a first-year 1946 Roosevelt dime in about that same condition. Found another today, a 1952 D in equally nice condition. Like Scrooge McDuck in the comics, I will be keeping old number one dime....hence my screen name.
