Found old copper coin at the beach, and WWII relics

Well I went and hit my local beach (Holden Beach NC) again Saturday early morning,. End up digging a old copper coin that I never thought I will find on the beach, could be a old colonial coin, and found some WWII .50cal casings and some bullets.

And pick up some seashells for the wife.

those could have been fired at Uboats off shore most people dont know that there were more than a few U boats sitting off shore in WW Ii and
government hid it from the public - some were sunk
or from WWII target practice
I have a beach up here where i found .50 cal and was told they used to fly over with bombers and side gunners would shoot at floating targets

You are absolutely right, that what they were doing during WW2. Few years back they dredge and pump a lot of sand just off the coast on to the beach...
