Hello all,

Been sometime since I have found anything. The places I want to hunt the people won't talk to me! So I hunted the old park in the center of town hunted 100's of times by others, I am sure. I found some things, I found some clad. I thought one quarter was a 1960 but it turns out to be a 1980. Found 2 dimes 70' s- 80's and 3 pennies. :'( oh well. I found a pipe that looks from a older Steam Heater. I found some glass and a 1/2 tea spoon. Some cans and a ball of foil. Last I found a Pie/Cake Server/Spatula, I think it is silver. My house mate says steel, but magnets do not stick to it. On the server it says Society DeLuxe Souther Splendor (No type of metal mark.) I think, maybe silver plated?

Here are some pictures of my trash!

If there are no markings I would guess it's silver plated.
Compare it's color to a spoon or fork from your kitchen, same color metal or no? If it's the same color it might be stainless steel, Some stainless steel won't stick to a magnet either.

YEAH! We are good for the environment! Anything I can recycle, I will... I keep it all in a 5 gal bucket. Could be more there more what trash? I am going to go back maybe today and hunt on a lower disc. I think all the silver coins are gone from my whole town!

Thanks all,
Keep @ it and HH!!

Hi MUD !!

Looks to me they are cooper, silver plated. (or maybe brass)
But for sure it's not stainless steel.

There is a simple way to check it. :)
Rub the edge of an item with a sandpaper (P 400), then you'll see if it's solid or plated.

But I can see from a picture, that is cooper (silver plated). Spoon, for sure !

Pozdrawiam Matejko

Those are some nice soda cans! ;D
I usually only find the tops to them, you get the whole thing! Seriously though, I thing I am going to start collecting pop tops. I figure a milk jug of them could catch me about $20 bucks at the recycling place.
