Bet you have to set the discriminate level pretty high, unless you have one of those homemade wooden mail boxes.......then
big nails would drive a person nuts.
BUT......think I'll sneak out a little later and check mine........probably have a little more trouble than you, as I live in an apartment
and have about 40 metal mail boxes v-e-r-y close to each other. (Hope the neighbors will understand.)

Sounds like you and your brother have a great game.

Hello again :)

I think the newer coins have already been determined. :icon_thumleft:

The smal coin is a so called "civil war coin".

I have investigated a bit about it, but it took me some time as there are so many different types of them.

Your coin is from the danish King Erik Menved, who was born 1274 and was king from 1286 - 1319.
He was son of King Erik Klipping.
Erik Menved died childless in 1319 and was succeded by his younger brother Christoffer II.

These "civil war coins" (danish: Borgerkrigsmønter) are all made of very poor silver with a large content of cupper.

Your coin has the number MB 350 (MB = Mansfeld-Bûllner)
It was minted in the town Roskilde.

You can see the coin in the links below. :icon_thumleft:

See no. 350:

According to a book written by the coin expert Jørgen Sømod the coin can be dated to the period before 1316.
