Hi everbody, I am glad I stumbled onto this site full of awesome people, advice, finds and optimism.
I find quite a bit of money and jewelry walkin' around with my dog.
My best find was this chain and earing set.
It weighs 26 grams and is marked 22C.

My dogs momma was a Hurricane Katrina refugee.
She had a litter of pups when she was in Hound Rescue foster care.
Our girl was 1 year old and a total mess when she arrived in Canada.
Somehow she has become a model citizen.
Very calm, civilized, intelligent, and ungrudgingly obedient, always.

Dogs are a great way to treasure hunt! The nice thing about your dog is that you can literally go anywhere, behind buildings, in vacant lots, etc. etc., and no one asks any questions because you are just walking your dog! Otherwise you are a shady guy creeping around :) The pup makes all the difference. I never found anything good but some clad coinage and a few dollar bills and junk jewelry, but stuff is out there

I was just going to suggest that. I am sure gold and silver has a scent.

I can smell copper and cash. Old tarnished silver has a slight scent too.

Just think what your pup can smell, a thousand times better than I can.
