I went back to the woods today and located a few more foundations. I found one that looked nice and hit it pretty hard. I think someone had been there before me as there were iron pieces on a stump. i didn't get any coins, but found this small buckle. I have found a larger version of this one and it's one of my favorite finds.

I believe it is colonial era...correct me if I am wrong.

A lot of debate goes on about these. My personal belief is they are post Colonial.

Would have said yes to it being Colonial, were it made from Bronze, but it looks to be made from stamped brass, which would make it later.
