Next door to my honey hole, that is; which is currently overgrown and undetectable until the next hay cut. So I got permission from the adjoining farm owner to hunt his property, which was part of the original plantation that I spend a lot of time hunting. I was pleasantly surprised to find 4 buttons, a garter clip (guessing), a 1938 Washington quarter (no mint mark), a buckle fragment and a fork that I managed to ID through the maker mark on the back. The fork pattern was produced in 1881, near as I can tell. I started my search around 4:00 in the afternoon thinking I would hunt until dark, but this was an open field so the heat and humidity was so brutal that I only spent about three hours there. Going to start at dawn next time!

That quarter is a keeper! Nice hunt overall.

Yeap, looks like a piece of a suspender clip.

Nice silver and relic hunt, especially the fork! :occasion14:
