Anything military with that type of pin back is probably old. I know that they were not used 25 years ago. Also, I am not sure if qualification badges are still given for things such as "carbine" anymore, or not too often at least.
 

Great finds! I notice the key on the right is just like a Ford key I recently found, but I couldn't figure out the age or even if it was a car key (I'd expect the logo to be in the familiar Ford script). Do you know if it is, in fact, a car key?
