Hi everyone. Haven't posted anything on here in years. I know I wasn't missed, though. Anyway. Found this while doing some gardening. I think it's a Chinese cash coin. Didn't know they made them this big. I have found quite a few small ones over the years, but this was an easy fine.

the obvious Question: How Big is it ?

Nice find !

You were too missed!

Same here. I didn't know or ever see them that big before. Mine were all nickel size as well. Maybe this will be a banner find:laughing9:

I have seen these repopped in drink coaster size.

Cheers!

I found one just like it under my tree in my front yard. It was close to the surface, mixed up in the dune sunflower roots. My wife says "thanks! I was looking for that"!!!

Turns out it was part of the windchime.:BangHead:

I collected for a while in S. Korea. Chinese coins can be quite large. Yours is a later mint, somewhere in the late 1800s, but it must have a story to tell. I wonder how it ended up in your garden?

I have a Chinese ROC coin my father in law found in the dirt by his shop (read Chiang Kai Shek / pre communism) How in the world do those turn up in Oklahoma??? Maybe one of Chennaults Flying Tigers brought it back from China!!! Ha Ha
