If you ever watched Doctor Who check this out http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1577259/ That episode was about the weeping angels which were statues that would come to life but only when you were not looking. Very few shows ever give me the creeps but that one did and your statue in the tree reminded me of it, even though yours looks like a Budda.
