Fragile LC and 2 silvers.

Quick hunt after work at a local park. Was able to rescue a nice large cent, an early Merc and 1947 dime. The LC is detailed but fragile "flaky" condition, any ideas how to remove some of the dirt without it crumbling away??

the first thing I did was check for a D, unfortunately not this time

Check for that D mint mark on that 16 merc, and soak that LC in olive oil for about two weeks longer if needed....
