Nice looking tray. Those are the most common Point type in my area and I have sites where you can find them all day long. I have one site that I have found 2000+ Triangles on.

Same in Iowa. I have hunted sites that have yielded 175-200 of these per day...after every hard rain.

I know triangles are common- I've found many myself. The ones we typically find out here are Woodland, but I know that some have been proposed as dated later- into the Archaic. Do you have some way of knowing what age group yours fall into? And thanks for showing- look forward to seeing more! Yakker

Every triangle point that I have are from well documented Oneota Culture sites, which fall into the Mississippian Period. My area has a lot of Woodland and Archaic sites but I have never found triangles on them. The Oneota lived in large groups in my area and there are several sites that I have permission to hunt that are 80 acre fields. Artifacts can be found throughout the entire field!

I should have looked up Oneota Culture before asking. Thanks for that! Yak
